Physician/ Research Scientist Head, Research and Innovation
Dr Winceslaus Katagira (MBChB, M.Med (Internal Medicine), PhD candidate) is a consultant physician at the Lung Institute clinic with a master’s in internal medicine from Makerere University, a Pulmonology rotation at McMaster University in Canada, and is currently pursuing Ph.D. studies from the University of Leicester, UK.
He is a Research Scientist at the Lung Institute as well as a Pan African Thoracic Society Methods in Epidemiologic, Clinical and Operations Research (PATS – MECOR) graduate.
He is an inspiring trainer in respiratory health, a Pan African Thoracic Society (PATS) Spirometry trainer and current Head of Research and Innovation at the Lung Institute, Makerere University.
He is an investigator on a number of projects within the Lung Institute with research interests in Post-TB Lung disease, Pulmonary Rehabilitation and Airways disease research.
